WordPress Developer

We are looking for a senior full-stack PHP web developer with strong WordPress and WooCommerce skills to help us with custom WordPress themes and plugins for our clients and for the company’s own projects.

Front-end Skills Needed:

• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Important: Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Important: Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Bootstrap 3 and 4

Back-end Skills Needed:

• Strong PHP/MySQL skills (Experience with OO programming is a must)
• Creating/extending WordPress themes and plugins
• Important: Experience with WPDB, WordPress Custom Post Types, and custom fields.
• Selecting /configuring / developing / extending plugins and themes
• Optimizing the install using caching and other best practices
• Experience working with 3rd party APIs like Google Maps, PayPal etc
• Using PHP and Javascript to interact with the WordPress API
• Important: Familiar with SQL syntax and the common tables used by WordPress and WooCommerce
• Comfortable exploring the database to find how plugins store data

Other Skills:

• General understanding of SEO as it applies to web development/design
• Experienced using SFTP and SSH
• Developing in a multi-server configuration with staging and production servers.
• Familiar with Git source control
• Photoshop slicing
